The Department of Finance & Accounts is charged primarily with the responsibility of managing the finances of the Agency through the collections and custody of funds as well as making payments on behalf of the Agency.
It also serves as the contact point between the Agency and other regulatory agencies of Government such as the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, Public Accounts Committee of National Assembly, Federal Inland Revenue Services, External Auditors etc. FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT
• Liaising with the Supervising Ministry for statutory allocations. • Collection of revenue. • Collection of loans and grants. • Making of payments such as salaries, contract payments, remittance of statutory deductions etc. • Disbursement of funds to states for direct labour. • Rendition of Management and other statutory reports • Maintenance of proper books of Accounts. |
